As the smoke clears from the August 17 ‘End Domestic Terrorism’ rally that saw patriot groups and Proud Boys from around the country travel to Portland, Oregon, at least 13 alleged members of Antifa have been arrested, and reportedly, no right wing individuals were apprehended by police.
Gavin McInnes, creator of FreeSpeech.TV and former leader of the Proud Boys, wrote on Telegram, “13 antifa arrested. They are officially your crazy ex-girlfriend. Say you’re going to be somewhere and they go nuts.”
Local media would seem to corroborate McInnes’ claim, as it notes 13 were arrested.
Portland police made arrests around town — at least 13 — as people posted video of the confrontations, including black-clad protesters breaking the windows out of a bus that was said to carry Proud Boys supporters. One person arrested on the east side was bleeding from the head.Trending:
Elsewhere, a large group of left-wing protesters encircled a man and what appeared to be a young woman in American-flag garb, taunting, threatening and chasing them.
Also on Telegram, Proud Boys Chairman Enrique Tarrio celebrated the day’s events, uploading an audio clip of “We Are The Champions” by Queen at 4:01 p.m.
Earlier in the day, at the end of the rally, he posted “Just a reminder… WE RUN THIS CITY!” and “Checkmate.”
Last night it was reported by National File that local authorities had completely stopped working with the event organizers, claiming they were never contacted. This led Tarrio to fear the event could turn into a “set up”. It appears media attention, and a tweet by President Donald Trump, may have had an impact on Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler.
On Twitter, President Trump wrote that there is “Major consideration being given to naming ANTIFA an ‘ORGANIZATION OF TERROR.'” He added, “Portland is being watched very closely. Hopefully the Mayor will be able to properly do his job!”
National File also reported that the Proud Boys and other patriot groups were seen singing and celebrating as they marched through the city.

In a press release, the Proud Boys pledged to continue visiting Portland every month until Wheeler has righted his city’s troubled ship.
