South Africa has been rocked by a wave of anti-foreigner sentiment which has manifested in violent murders, beatings, riots, and looting.

While the Mainstream Media desperately flounders to salvage the narrative depicting the Rainbow Nation as a beacon of multiculturalism; downplaying anti-white farm attacks or outright slandering those who drew attention to these atrocities as ‘conspiracy theorists’ or ‘white supremacists.’

Trucks have been torched amid the chaos.

Malls have been looted in Johannesburg. Foreign store owners have complained of their businesses being targeted on a regular basis.

The South African police have been criticized of inertia, incompetence, and disinterestedness in face of the rampant lawlessness currently plaguing many parts of the country.

President, Cyril Ramaphosa, has condemned the acts of violence.

South Africa‘s President Cyril Ramaphosa has condemned “acts of wanton violence” against foreigners as crowds of people plundered shops and set fire to buildings for a second day in the country’s commercial capital, Johannesburg.

Police fired rubber bullets and arrested seven people in the township of Alexandra on Tuesday morning, a day after clashing with looters who local media said targeted foreign-owned businesses in several parts of the city.

“I’m convening the ministers in the security cluster today to make sure that we keep a close eye on these acts of wanton violence and find ways of stopping them,” he said in a post on Twitter.

“There can be no justification for any South African to attack people from other countries.”

Yesterday, a horrific video showing what was allegedly a Nigerian worker burning alive did the rounds on social media. This video is, unfortunately, too disturbing to include here.

TimesLive reports that two South Africans were killed in Coronationville as violence continues to unfold in Johannesburg.

Four South African police officers were arrested last week over the killing of a Nigerian worker, according to Sahara Reporters.

The Financial Times reports that Nigeria has warned South Africa over the violence directed at foreigners. Nigeria has threatened ‘definitive’ action to protect its citizens from ‘wanton’ violence.

Boko Haram has even been called to respond to the anti-Nigerian acts of violence.

In mid-July, it was reported that some 118 Nigerians had been killed in South Africa in what have been described as ‘xenophobic’ murders. Thirteen of these Nigerians have been killed by police.
