SHOCK: Producer of 'The Hunt' Said He Would 'Take Out' Trump Administration

The producer of the controversial film “The Hunt”, featuring a group of Republicans hunted and killed by liberal elites, said he “would take out the current administration” in a 2017 interview that is receiving new attention due to the violent and political nature of the new film.

While doing press for another movie, producer Jason Blum told FilmIsNow that he “would take out the current administration”, showing his political leanings in the aftermath of “The Hunt” apparent cancellation.

The interviewer asked Blum, “What would you do if you had a day with no consequences,” prompting the grim response from Blum.

In a deadpan voice, staring at the interviewer, Blum responded “I would take out the current administration.” This prompted laughter from the other person being interviewed.

“That’s a great answer,” said the interviewer.

Blum then added, “I went dark, I went really, really dark, but I went honest.”

Bleeding Cool notes that “The Hunt” was apparently cancelled by NBC Universal following the conservative uproar over the plot, and notes that this seems to suggest the worldview of Blum.

Universal will no longer be releasing the BlumHouse film on September 27th as planned. They initially paused marketing campaign for the film, then stated that “While Universal Pictures had already paused the marketing campaign for ‘The Hunt,’ after thoughtful consideration, the studio has decided to cancel our plans to release the film. We stand by our filmmakers and will continue to distribute films in partnership with bold and visionary creators, like those associated with this satirical social thriller, but we understand that now is not the right time to release this film.”

Donald Trump attacked the media as a result of publicity for the film, stating “Hollywood is racist. What they’re doing, with the kind of movies they’re putting out — it’s actually very dangerous for our country.”

President Donald Trump tweeted about Hollywood over the weekend, likely in reference to the movie saying “Hollywood is Racist at the highest level, and with great Anger and Hate!”

He added, “They create their own violence, and then try to blame others.”
