Transcripts of the phonecall between President Trump and the President of Ukraine have been released by that prove that Trump did nothing wrong.
The White House has released the transcript between Ukraine’s President, Zelenskyy, and President Trump. Over the past week, Democrats have tried to claim that the President pressured Zelenskyy into investigating remarks by former Vice-President Joe Biden, and now wish to impeach him. Biden had admitted he held back money until the prosecutor who investigateed his son’s business dealings was fired:
I had gotten a commitment from Poroshenko [the previous Ukrainian President]… that they would take action against the former state prosecutor, and they didn;t. I said, “we’re not gonna give you the billion dollars.” They said, “you have no authority, you’re not the President.” I said, “call him! I’m telling you, you’re not getting the billion dollars!” I said, “look, we’re leaving in 6 hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.” Well son of a bitch, he got fired!

In the released transcripts, the President began the call by congratulating Zelenskyy on winning the election in Ukraine, with Zelensky replying that he learned a lot from President Trump’s election, and like him, “drain the swamp” in his country too. “You are a great teacher for us,” Zelenskyy told the President.
The conversation moved on to discussing the prosecutor. “I heard you had a prosecutor who was very good and he was shut down, and that’s really unfair,” President Trump told Zelenskyy:
A lot of people are talking about that, the way they shut your very good prosecutor down and you had some very bad people involved. Mr. Giuliani is a highly respected man. He was the mayor of New York City, a great mayor, and I would like him to call you. I will ask him to call you along with the Attorney General. Rudy very much knows what’s happening and he is a very capable guy. If you could speak to him that would be great. The former ambassador from the United states, the woman, was bad news and the people she was dealing with in the Ukraine were bad news so I just want to let you know that.
President Trump then brought up the incident with Biden:
There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it… It sounds horrible to me.
President Zelenskyy said that a new prosecutor, who would be “100% my person” would be appointed in September:
He or she will look into the situation, specifically to the company that you mentioned in this issue. The issue of the investigation of the case is actually the issue of making sure to restore the honesty so we will take care of that and will work on the investigation of the case.

In a series of tweets on Tuesday night before the transcript was released, the President emphasised that there was no quid pro quo, unlike in Biden’s case with the previous President of Ukraine, Poroshenko.
….You will see it was a very friendly and totally appropriate call. No pressure and, unlike Joe Biden and his son, NO quid pro quo! This is nothing more than a continuation of the Greatest and most Destructive Witch Hunt of all time!

It is unlikely that even in the face of this overwhelming evidence, the Democrats will admit they were wrong about the President.
