In a letter delivered to Democrats on Sunday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) invoked God as she revealed the Democrat plan to force Vice President Mike Pence using the 25th Amendment under threat of a new impeachment trial.
“On this Sunday, we pray that God will continue to Bless America,” wrote Pelosi. “I want to call your immediate attention to the action to be taken tomorrow morning, when Majority Leader Hoyer will request Unanimous Consent to bring up the Raskin Resolution.”
Pelosi explained that this resolution demands Pence immediately begin the process of removing President Donald Trump from office using the 25th Amendment. If Pence does not comply, Pelosi reveals, then Democrats will impeach President Trump.

“This resolution calls on the Vice President to convene and mobilize the Cabinet to activate the 25th Amendment to declare the President incapable of executing the duties of his office, after which the Vice President would immediately exercise powers as acting President.”

“If we do not receive Unanimous Consent,” Pelosi added, “this legislation is planned to be brought up on the floor the following day. We are calling on the Vice President to respond within 24 hours.”
Pelosi also claimed that she is “grateful to all Members [of the caucus] for the suggestions, observations, and input” and will continue to address their concerns overnight.

Last week, National File reported that McConnell began circulating the Senate’s plan to impeach President Trump. In it, McConnell noted that the impeachment would not reach the Senate before President Trump leaves office on January 20, but noted that the Senate would gladly move toward impeachment after.
