On Thursday, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) spoke before the media to announce that he and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) intend for the Senate Judiciary Committee to subpoena Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey and force the big tech CEO to answer tough questions about their company’s blatant and potentially politically motivated of the New York Post’s bombshell reporting about Hunter Biden and Joe Biden trading political influence within the Obama administration for money from Chinese, Ukrainian, and Russian nationals.
“In the last two days we’ve seen a remarkable development. We have seen big tech, we have seen Twitter and Facebook, actively interfering in this election in a way that has no precedent in our country,” said Cruz, referring to the recent censorship of the New York Post by Facebook and Twitter.
“The allegations in the New York Post story, if true, indicate that Joe Biden lied when he said he had never discussed his son’s business dealings,” said Cruz. “That story, once the New York Post broke it, was blocked on Twitter and Facebook.”

As National File reported, Facebook initially announced that, despite no evidence the Post story was untrue, it would censor the article. Soon after, Twitter announced that it was completely banning the Post’s article from its website, preventing users from even taking screen shots to share the information.

“The New York Post has the fourth largest circulation of any newspaper in this country,” Cruz explained. “Never before have we seen active censorship of a major press publication with serious allegations of corruption of one of the two candidates for president.”
Cruz then noted that on Thursday morning, when the Post published additional emails from Hunter Biden, the censorship increased. “This morning the store escalated and got even worse: The New York Post broke a second story of a series of emails that indicate yet more corruption,” said Cruz.
“In this instance, the Biden family receiving millions of dollars from communist China government officials. Just minutes ago, I tried to share that story on Twitter. And Twitter is actively blocking, right now this instant, stories from the New York post alleging corruption and the Biden family receiving millions of dollars from communist China.”

“This is election interference and we are 19 days out from an election, it has no precedent in the history of Democracy,” Cruz declared. “The Senate Judiciary committee wants to know what the hell is going on.”
Cruz then announced that the Senate Judiciary Committee intends to issue a subpoena to Dorsey on Tuesday that will compel the big tech CEO “to come before this committee and the American people and explain why Twitter is abusing their corporate power to silence the press and cover up allegations of corruption.”
