Rap mogul turned American presidential hopeful Kanye West has released a new campaign ad in video format that features testimonials from prospective voters who pledge their support for the Kanye West campaign, and explain their rationale for supporting the artist behind the 2019 album, “Jesus is King.”
“Mr. West wants the best for the American people, and with the help from God he will achieve his goal by winning the 2020 presidential election,” a prospective voter from Texas says in the ad.
Another voter says he will vote for West because “America needs a leader who will actually listen to the kids.”
“I’m voting for Kanye cause I think this nation needs a strong leader with ideas, good ideas that can progress us, not liberal or conservative, but just, like, fact,” another supporter states.

West’s recent conversion to Christianity factors heavily into the campaign ad, with supporters frequently referencing his faith.
The West campaign has overcome some serious obstacles on the way to becoming a serious campaign, most notably from none other than West’s wife Kim Kardashian.
Rapper and presidential candidate Kanye West revealed Monday night that his wife, Kim Kardashian-West, planned to fly to the family’s Wyoming estate with a doctor and have Kanye taken into custody due to a supposed mental crisis that led the rapper to deliver a passionate speech about choosing not to abort his daughter, North West, during a campaign speech the day before.
After officially beginning his presidential campaign with a wide ranging speech on Sunday in South Carolina, at one point poignantly discussing his mother’s decision not to abort him while pregnant, then his own wife struggling with the same decision when the couple learned they were expecting a child, West’s wife reportedly became concerned about the mental state of the artist and sought to have him placed in the custody of a doctor, he claimed on Twitter.
“Kim was trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock me up,” wrote West. “Because I cried about saving my daughter’s life yesterday.”
Though West will not be listed on the ballot in several key states, voters will still be able to write him on the ballot if they so choose.
