Video footage shows a group of protesters swarming a pickup truck after the driver tossed what appears to be a blue flare or smoke grenade into their midst while they block an intersection by lying down. The protesters then strike the vehicle and throw objects at it, prompting the driver to exit the cab and and disperse the crowd by brandishing a handgun.
In the undated footage, which reportedly comes from Savannah, Georgia; a black Chevy Silverado can be seen turning to pull alongside a contingent of protesters who are blocking an intersection by lying prone in the right-hand lane.
The truck comes to a halt, and an object trailing blue smoke is tossed into the center of the group, prompting people to get off the pavement and flee.
The protesters then begin to strike the vehicle, first with fists and feet and then with a bicycle wielded overhead. One individual rears back and hurls an object at the passenger-side window, while another approaches the rear of the truck gripping a skateboard while holding a skateboard in two hands.
Chaos then ensues as the yellow-shirted driver bursts out of the cab and points a pistol at the mob, prompting the protesters to disperse.
After the protesters leave the intersection, the driver lowers his weapon, and appears to taunt them in a “Go ahead and try something” type stance.
Eventually, the right-side passenger in the convinces the driver to return to his vehicle, and he drives off through the now-empty intersection.

Instances where Black Lives Matter protesters block roads and intersections have repeatedly devolved into violence.
In September, a police cyclist rode over the neck of a protester who attempted to obstruct their advance by laying in the street.
