Mikaela Spielberg’s arrest was officially confirmed by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office in Tennessee.
Chuck Pankow, Spielberg’s fiance who confirmed the arrest to reporters at Fox News, claims the incident involving himself and Spielberg was “a misunderstanding.”
In this statement he also confirmed the nature of the arrest, and that Spielberg had been formally charged with domestic violence towards him and arrested by 6:20 a.m. Saturday morning.
Spielberg was held for a 12-hour-hold, which is reported to be standard in Tennessee for those arrested and charged for domestic violence.
This arrest comes shortly after Spielberg made the announcement that she will be transitioning to a career in self-produced porn movies, and possibly stripping if she is able to obtain her sex-workers license.
During a FaceTime phone call between Mikaela Spielberg and her father Steven Spielberg, the father and daughter pair discussed Mikaela’s newfound career in self-produced porn films and her eventual hopes to become a stripper.
Spielberg reports that both her adoptive parents Steven and Kate Capshaw were “intrigued” and not “upset” by her career choice, and more specifically that they support her choice.
According to Spielberg, “I feel like doing this kind of work, I’m able to ‘satisfy’ other people, but that feels good because it’s not in a way that makes me feel violated.”
She continued, “and I also just got tired of working day to day in a way that wasn’t satisfying my soul.”
Adopted as a baby by the Spielberg family, says that she does respect and love her mom and dad. While she was nervous about how they would react, she says that the support they’ve offered since has come as no surprise to her.
“My safety has always been a number one priority for them. I’m doing this, not out of an urge to hurt anybody or be spiteful about it, I’m doing this because I want to honor my body in a way that’s lucrative,” says Spielberg.
Although she claims these individuals were unrelated to her fathers position in the elite entertainment world, Spielberg talks about the abuse she suffered at the hand of older men as she matured. She has made the claim that she was targeted for grooming and abused by predators who were not in the circle of her fathers.
This trauma, Spielberg says, was a factor in the years of suffering she has experienced with subsequent mental illness, and body dysmorphia in the form of anorexia. Spielberg also reportedly suffers from alcoholism, and borderline personality disorder.
“I was really out of control from about the age of 11 years old, even to up up to two years ago,” Spielberg says. “So that out of control-ness only stopped pretty recently. When I was 21, I used to drink every day and that went on for like two years until I almost died a couple of times.”
Spielberg is currently engaged to 47-year-old Pankow.
“It took him a long time to come around to it because obviously in the South there’s so much shame around that still,” Spielberg said. “We still have this idea of what women can and cannot be – this is such a de-legitimized form of work. Even though it’s legal to be an adult actor and make and write erotica privately, you you can’t do it publicly without a license in Tennessee.”
