Wednesday an American Conservative journalist and Fox News radio host, who routinely exposed leftist hypocrisy, was fired as the announcement was made that his contract would not be renewed.
“You are catching heat in the Media. You echoed the call that I wrote in my book, that we may be headed for a Civil War,” Todd Starnes said to Robert Jeffress.
In an interview on his Fox News Radio program, Starnes’ guest was Jeffress, a Texas-based pastor.
On the show, Jeffress and Starnes talked about a statement Jeffress made late in September on Fox and Friends, that if an impeachment happened, a “Civil war like fracture” would hurt the country.
President Donald J. Trump retweeted that statement on Sept 29.
….If the Democrats are successful in removing the President from office (which they will never be), it will cause a Civil War like fracture in this Nation from which our Country will never heal.” Pastor Robert Jeffress, @FoxNews
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 30, 2019
After the Civil War statement, on the Starnes radio program, the conversation continued on the topic of prayer and Jeffress said that the Democrats, who booed God in their party platform, were “sanctimonious”, especially when Rep. Nancy Patrica Pelosi D-CA, the Speaker of the House, who is leading the impeachment charge against Trump, asked for prayer for the country.
Starnes said he wondered who the Democrats were praying to.
Jeffress replied that “Apparently Democrats worship the pagan god Moloch, who is often associated with child sacrifice”, referring to the Democrat’s love of abortion and demands for pro-abortion policies.
Starnes seemed a bit uncomfortable with the emotional statement by Jeffress, and sad “Wow! You came loaded for bear today,” and reassured Jeffress, “That is why we have a radio program, to let folks work it out.”
Then Starnes was fired.

Starnes is a veteran of the suppression of free speech. Starnes was banned from Facebook in 2013.
“I am the bad boy of Facebook. I was talking about the craziness of the politically correct crowd at the time. I got a note that I violated the community standards,” Starnes said in a Fox News interview.
The 2013 post:
“I’m about as politically incorrect as you can get. I’m wearing an NRA ball cap, eating a Chick-fil-A sandwich, reading a Paula Deen cookbook and sipping a 20-ounce sweet tea while sitting in my Cracker Barrel rocking chair with the Gather Vocal Band singing ‘Jesus Saves’ on the stereo and a Gideon’s Bible in my pocket. Yes sir, I’m politically incorrect and happy as a June bug.”
“The post was about sweet tea,” he said. “I believe that Facebook is stamping down on Conservative speech.”
“There is a double standard. Many of Facebook employees support the limitation of free speech.”
Facebook ended up apologizing and releasing the account back to Starnes:
“As our team processes hundreds of thousands of reports each week, we occasionally make a mistake. In this case, we mistakenly removed content from the Todd Starnes Page, and worked to rectify the mistake as soon as we were notified. We apologize for the inconvenience caused due to the removal of this content, and we have already taken steps to prevent this from happening in the future. Additionally, we have removed any blocks on associated accounts.”
Apparently Fox News adopted the confusing Facebook Community Standards.
