Todd Phillips’ Joker movie is receiving a limited-time release in theaters this week due to massive awards season recognition, National File has learned.
The neo-noir DC Comics origin story grossed over $1 billion on a $55 million budget during its first run in theaters.
Joaquin Phoenix, who played the eponymous Joker, recently received a Golden Globe award for Best Actor.
Joker has also accrued eleven Oscar nominations, enraging left-wing film critics.
The film has also faced unprecedented political backlash from the United States government, with the military flagging screenings of the film as a domestic terrorism liability for “incels.”

The film’s departure from standard superhero fare about one-dimensional characters in skintight pants saving the world from mean white men has been cited as a key reason for its success.
“Joker” is a psychological thriller and character study of an emotionally damaged white male living in an unfeeling dystopia society – a type of film rarely seen in the age of woke capitalism.Joaquin Phoenix’s compelling portrayal of the birth of Batman’s nemesis has brought moviegoers to the theaters in droves. The film is projected to pass $300 million in gross revenue by late Monday and has broken nine separate box office records.
The records set by Joker include biggest all-time October opening weekend ($96 million), Biggest October international opening weekend ($140.5 million), biggest IMAX opening milestone in October ($16.4 million), and widest October all-time release (4,374 theaters), amongst several others.
Joaquin Phoenix laid into the Hollywood establishment during his acceptance speech at the Golden Globes:
Phoenix had some charged language for the audience during his acceptance speech, criticizing the Hollywood elite for engaging political activism while flying around in private jets that pollute the environment.
“There is no f***ing best actor,” Phoenix said before being muted on the NBC live broadcast. “It’s great to vote but sometimes we have to take that responsibility on ourselves and make changes and sacrifices in our own lives and I hope that we can do that we don’t have to take private jets to Palm Springs sometimes or back, please.”

NBC vigorously attempted to play Phoenix off the stage with loud music, but to no avail.
The actor added, “Contrary to popular belief, I don’t want to rock the boat. But the boat is f***ing rocked.”
Joker will return to theaters January 17-24.
