A video has resurfaced of Sen. Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke, noted Irishman, previously supporting ownership of AR-15 rifles, prior to his promise to “come for” Americans’ guns in last night’s Democratic Debate.
Video reveals that when O’Rourke was attempting to impress Texans and unseat Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) during the 2018 midterm election, he told Texans they “should” keep their AR-15 rifles.
“To be clear they should have them,” said O’Rourke. “If you purchased that AR-15, if you own it, keep it. Continue to use it responsibly.”
The video is contrasted with O’Rourke’s radical gun control endorsement in last night’s debate, in which O’Rourke said “Hell yes” he would come for AR-15 rifles.
“Hell yes, we’re going to take your AR-15, your AK-47,” said O’Rourke.
O’Rourke also claimed he spoke to AR-15 buyers and sellers at a gun show, who he said told him they would be willing to relinquish their rifles should a hypothetical President Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke demand them.

Last night marked the most radical push for gun control yet, as Democrat candidates competed for who could take the most radical stance.
While O’Rourke pledged to come for popular rifles, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-California) threatened to use an Executive Order to nullify the Second Amendment, while former vice president Joe Biden begged candidates to at least attempt to abide by the constitution.
Many of the other candidates bemoaned the fact that school children are taught what to do in the event of a mass shooting, while none of the candidates examined the impact gun free zones have had on public safety.
As National File previously reported, dozens of legislators have signed a letter to President Donald Trump urging him to end the push for gun control in the form of Red Flag Laws, and for the president to push for an end to gun free zones.
The letter also requests the South Dakota Senators support the “Safe Students Act, proposed by U.S. Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., to repeal the 1990 Gun-Free School Zones Act.”
Research indicates that 94 per cent of mass shootings have occurred in gun free zones since 1950.
While Democrats continue to push for extreme gun control measures, Republicans also need to fear shocking gun control schemes from their own party, including one that would empower the federal government to listen to regular Americans using Alexa home assistant devices, FitBit fitness accessories and other means to determine who should have their Second Amendment rights stripped from them.
