President Donald Trump alluded that he will return to the public arena following his final day in office while speaking at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland today, telling his supporters “we will be back in some form” and “we will see you soon” after a brief 10 minute speech highlighting the accomplishments and tribulations of his administration.
“Goodbye, we love you, we will be back in some form,” said President Donald Trump, possibly alluding to the formation of his own political party, as he was greeted by cheers from the crowd. “Have a good life, we will see you soon, thank you very much,” he concluded.
Earlier in the speech, President Trump acknowledged that “we were not a regular administration,” while highlighting his accomplishments, specifically the creation of the U.S. Space Force, and the opposition he faced when attempting to complete seemingly mundane campaign promises.
Referencing the Democrat-led government that soon-to-be Minority Leader Mitch McConnell led to fruition with a double Georgia loss, President Trump remarked, “We’ve got tax cuts, the largest tax cuts and reform in the history of our country by far.”
“I hope they don’t raise your taxes, but if they do I told you so,” President Trump joked.
“We have the greatest country in the world, we have the greatest economy in the world,” said President Trump. “We have worked hard, we have left it all, as the athletes would say, we left it all on the field.”
“We’ll never say in a month, when we’re sitting in Florida, we’re not going to be looking at each other and saying ‘If only we worked a little harder,’ you can’t work harder,” said President Trump.
“And we had a lot of obstacles, and we went through the obstacles, and we just got 75 million votes, and that’s a record in the history of sitting presidents. That’s an all time record, by a lot, by many millions.”
President Trump then ended his speech with his promise that he “will be back in some form,” and his wish for his supporters to “Have a good life” because he will “see you soon.”
