Streaming star Guy “Dr Disrespect” Beahm launched his first in-person livestream in over a month on YouTube Friday, and spoke candidly about his ban from Twitch and the ensuing controversy for the first time.
Speaking to a live audience that peaked at a staggering 510,000 concurrent viewers, the Doc stated that “we still have no idea what happened” in regards to Twitch’s decision to boot him from the platform without explanation.
“A lot of people… want to know what happened: ‘Why did you get banned?’ Guess what? I want you to look me in my f**king eyes when I say this… We still have no idea. We have no idea,” Dr Disrespect said.
“And I’m gonna tell you this right now, as far as I’m concerned, we didn’t do anything to warrant a ban, let alone how they went about banning us. No communication before, no reaching out, nothing. Boom, done,” the Doc continued.
The Doc also appeared to take shots at “gaming journalists” who claimed to have inside information on the story or circulated negative rumors.

“The problem is too, there are people in the community, that are anxious for an answer, and so what that does it is creates a level of urgency, and speculation. And I just think it’s such a f**king cockroach approach. Period.”
Corporate media has long had an antagonist relationship with the Doc, often trying to deplatform him for voicing unorthodox opinions.
“Last thing I’m gonna say about it, and I gotta be intelligent about all this,” the Doc concluded, “is you’re talking about a heavy contract. Lots of money… there;s lots of money involved, so let the legal professionals do what they need to do.”
Dr. Disrespect returned to streaming after over a month away. He talked about his Twitch ban to over 500k viewers on YouTube
