Photographic evidence has recently surfaced of Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) standing with members of anti-Second Amendment group Moms Demand Action earlier this year.
Crenshaw has come under intense scrutiny in recent weeks following his zealous advocacy for Red Flag Laws, which allow courts to strip away a person’s Second Amendment right to due process if the government receives reports of “imminent risk” from family members members or police.
As National File reported earlier this month, Crenshaw doubled down on his support for gun control measures, while simultaneously claiming to still support gun rights and blaming “a lot of memes” for making Red Flag critics “emotional and uninformed.”
New evidence now casts further doubt on the Texas representative’s track record on gun rights, as a photograph has surfaced of Crenshaw cozying up to the Bloomberg-funded anti-gun nonprofit Moms Demand Action (MDA).

In the photo, members of MDA are seen flanking and towering over Crenshaw, who stands smiling with hands folded against the corner of a blue-walled room.
National File was able to trace the origin of the image to a tweet on February 20 from an apparent MDA member captioned “Texas @MomsDemand across the state are meeting with their representatives and staff to introduce themselves and talk about #redflag laws, #BeSmart and the passage of #HR8. We must #KeepGoing, they now #ExpectUs.”
While the tweet has since been deleted, National File was able to verify that MDA did indeed hold a group meeting on the day the photograph was posted to Twitter.
The image has since gone viral on Facebook and has been shared by many gun-rights organizations who see Crenshaw as a fake conservative that used pro-America campaign rhetoric to hide his neoliberal tendencies from the Texas electorate.
Moms Demand Action is a stridently anti-Constitution organization funded by former New York mayor and billionaire liberal activist Michael Bloomberg, which raises questions as to why the Texas representative would even give them an audience after being elected on a conservative platform.
As National File reported, the Red Flag Laws supported by Crenshaw and other Republicans have already been linked to the death of a man in Maryland who was shot dead in an early morning police raid in 2018.
