A letter from 2018 was released on Thursday from Michael Cohen’s attorney to the FEC that states Mr. Cohen used his personal funds to pay Stormy Daniels. This letter contradicts the information that Mr. Cohen and Mr. Bragg conveyed to the New York Grand Jury. Lying to a grand jury is a felony, but New York Attorney General Letitia James has a history of double standards regarding Democrats and Republicans committing crimes.
The second paragraph of the 2018 letter from Michael Cohen’s lawyer to the FEC read, “In a private transaction in 2016, before the U.S. presidential election, Mr. Cohen used his own personal funds to facilitate a payment of $130,000 to Ms. Stephanie Clifford. Neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign was a party to the transaction with Ms. Clifford, and neither reimbursed Mr. Cohen for the payment directly or indirectly.”
President Trump took to Truth Social after news of the Cohen’s lawyer’s letter broke, “Wow, look what was just found—A Letter from Cohen’s Lawyer to the Federal Election Commission. This is totally exculpatory and must end the Manhattan District Attorney’s Witch Hunt, immediately. Cohen admits that he did it himself. The D.A. should get on with prosecuting violent criminals, so people can walk down the sidewalks of New York without being murdered!” Trump posted.
If charges against Cohen and Bragg for lying to a grand jury were to happen, it would likely have to come from the office of New York Attorney General Letitia James. However, AG James has a history of allowing crimes committed by Democrats to slide. Recent examples include the 2020 New York City Antifa riots and the various crimes Andrew Cuomo was accused of.
Bragg has put the New York Grand Jury on standby for Thursday. Mr. Bragg has shown no signs he plans to drop his attempt to arrest Trump.
NationalFile reported on Antifa posing as Trump supporters in New York City on Tuesday. On Wednesday, NationalFile released exclusive photos of enhanced capitol security.
Many believe Democrats have something sinister planned and do not expect the New York elected Democrats to take their foot off the gas.
