In Brooklyn, New York, a man was caught on video after he vandalized campaign signs for the Republican Nominee for Governor of New York, U.S. Rep. Lee Zeldin (R-NY), on Friday. The incident happened on Ocean Parkway when a local New Yorker saw the man vandalize one of the signs.
“Is there a reason why you’re covering up the Zeldin signs?” the concerned citizen asked. “Yeah I’m not a fan,” the vandal said.

“But that’s illegal to do that. You know that?” he replied. “You enjoy doing stupid things like that? You like Hochul? You like Governor Hochul?” the New Yorker who filmed the interaction asked. “Do you like what’s going on in the world?”
“Just put it somewhere else, why does it have to be here?” the vandal complained.
Twitter user Eric Rosenberg, reported that two different people were also spotted on Ocean Parkway removing “Zeldin for Governor” signs from the median on Friday.. The pair claimed to be employees of the New York City Department of Parks & Recreation.

Despite the fact that there are political activists willing to steal Zeldin signs, according to a recent poll conducted by the Trafalgar Group, Zeldin took a narrow lead over the incumbent unelected Governor of New York, Kathy Hochul, on Tuesday.

Zeldin has seen strong support from the Jewish community in New York. At Borough Park in Brooklyn on Sunday, Zeldin held a rally with former New York State Assemblyman, Dov Hikind.
