The surveillance footage from outside billionaire Jeremy Epstein’s cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center at the time of his suicide attempt has gone missing, prosecutors have revealed.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Swergold, during a hearing in White Plains District Court, said that nobody could locate the key footage of the high profile suicide attempt of the notorious billionaire suspected of multiple crimes related to international underage sex trafficking, pedophilia, kidnapping, and connections to globalist elites.
Epstein had shared a cell with accused quadruple murderer Nick Tartaglione–a former Briarcliff Manor cop facing the death penalty for the events following a botched drug deal.
Tartaglione’s attorney, Bruce Barkey, and a spokesman for the Manhattan U.S. Attorney’s Office both confirmed the footage was not preserved.
Barket said that Tartaglione’s attorneys asked for the footage to be retained after Epstein’s unsuccessful suicide attempt on July 23rd, according to the Seattle Times.
Barket said that “it is on the surface troubling.” Barket went onto say: “I’ll reserve judgment until I’ve found out more details.”
The government has been asked to look into the disappearance of the footage by Judge Kenneth Karas.
The footage from the night of the attempted suicide was necessary to the defense of ex-cop Tartaglione to provide evidence of his good character.
On the night of the attempted suicide, Tartaglione claims to have rushed to the aid of Epstein; while Epstein reportedly claimed to have been attacked by Tartaglione.
Epstein was found hanging two weeks later in a different cell while awaiting trial for sex trafficking of underage girls–which could have potentially implicated several high profile individuals.
