Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) did not take kindly to failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s scandalous claims that Gabbard was a “Russian asset” being groomed by the Kremlin to ensure President Donald Trump’s re-election.
Gabbard responded to Clinton with a fiery series of tweets on Friday, excoriating the septugenerian career politician as the “queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long.”

“From the day I announced my candidacy, there has been a concerted campaign to destroy my reputation,” Gabbard wrote. “We wondered who was behind it and why. Now we know — it was always you, through your proxies and powerful allies in the corporate media and war machine, afraid of the threat I pose.”

The Hawaii congresswoman declared that “It’s now clear that this primary is between you and me,” adding, “Don’t cowardly hide behind your proxies. Join the race directly.”

Despite having left-wing ideas on many issues of domestic policy, Gabbard has repeatedly been derided as an alt-right figurehead and an Assad asset by many in the Democratic Party.
As National File reported:
Gabbard has consistently remained an ideological outlier compared to the other candidates. She frequently refers to her military service and pride in the United States armed forces, and has spoken out against Big Tech censorship, foreign lobbying, late-term abortion, and the Democrat Party’s impeachment fetish.
For these thought crimes, the Hawaii native has been called a puppet of Bashar al-Assad, an isolationist, a conservative and a white nationalist by far-left and corporate-controlled elements of the Democratic Party.

Gabbard’s tweet has already received a very polarizing response on Twitter, with many supporters rallying against her bold condemnation of Clinton, while Clinton surrogates hurl frenzied attacks against Gabbard in a last-ditch attempt at damage control.
