A man who gained social media attention over the past few days in a prefabricated stunt where he licked a toilet bowl rim for social media clout has reportedly been admitted into hospital with the coronavirus.
The social media user, who went by the name @GAYSHAWNMENDES, was reportedly admitted to hospital days after the disgusting act.
A report affirms the 21-year-old man who also goes by “Larz” published the sickening video on TikTok.
According to Pardes Seleh, “A kid who licked toilets as part of the #CoronaVirusChallenge says he’s now in the hospital with coronavirus. @gayshawnmendes was also just suspended from twitter.”

Unsurprisingly, social media responded as predicted, voicing their disgust and contempt for the clip.
“Eating Tide pods, licking toilets, seriously WTF is wrong w/Gen Z?! Is this what growing up indoors online no fresh air or playing outside does to kids?? Serious question,” commented one tweeter.
A second wrote: “So…he lost that challenge? Or did he win it? These social media challenges are confusing to me.”
To which a third wittily replied, “We all won.”
We all won.

Another user tweeted: “And these toilet stickers will get respirators before someone else’s grandparents will. Remember that.”
“I can’t think of anyone who deserves to get the coronavirus more,” stated another user.
GAYSHAWNMENDES had previously attempted a social media stunt last year, where he plucked a tub of ice cream out of a freezer before scooping out a handful and licking his hands as he placed the tub back in its resting place.
The previous stunt was at the peak of food tampering fears as a wave of clout-chasers–some of whom landed in legal trouble–licked ice cream at supermarkets across the country to appeal to their burgeoning social media followings.
