The GOP establishment is selling out their own party’s Trump-endorsed nominee for Governor of Pennsylvania, Doug Mastriano, and is now fundraising for Democrat Josh Shapiro. Throughout the nominating process and now the general election, the GOP establishment has publicly opposed Mastriano, one of the America First movement’s staunchest supporters, whose campaign the establishment has been unable to control.
Failed GOP establishment candidate Jeff Bartos attended a September 21st fundraiser for far-left Democrat gubernatorial nominee Josh Shapiro. Treacherous Republican Josh Bartos wasn’t just any old attendee at the Democrat fundraiser though. In fact, it was hosted by his wife, and the pair appear to be directly aiding the campaign of left-wing Democrat Josh Shapiro.
As Pennsylvania’s current Attorney General, Shapiro has been a devout defender of the state’s disastrous 2020 election and draconian COVID shutdowns – some of the worst in the country. Now, facing a massive groundswell of support for his America First opponent Doug Mastriano, who is surging in the polls, Shapiro is publicly courting the GOP establishment, hoping for a ballot box bailout.
Bartos was crushed in Pennsylvania’s 2022 US Senate GOP Primary, finishing in an extremely distant 5th place and garnering just 5% of his own party’s support. Troublingly for actual conservatives, Democrat-fundraiser Jeff Bartos sits as the co-chair of Dr. Mehmet Oz’s statewide US Senate campaign which, like the gubernatorial run of Doug Mastriano, has been endorsed by President Trump.
“The depth of the estrangement” between Doug Mastriano and the GOP establishment, Politico reported on the day of the Democrat fundraiser, “will be underscored at a big-dollar Philadelphia fundraiser later today benefiting his Democratic opponent, Josh Shapiro.”
Among the co-hosts of the fundraiser is Sheryl Bartos,” the report went on, explaining that she is “the wife of Jeff Bartos, a two-time statewide Pennsylvania GOP candidate and, more pointedly, the co-chair of Mehmet Oz’s Senate campaign.”
As he rakes in GOP establishment support, Shapiro is being blasted as a “coward” by Trump-endorsed Doug Mastriano over his refusal to debate him before Pennsylvanians go to the polls. Dodging debates has become a standard campaign practice for Democrats in recent years who, as polling data shows, fair horribly among the vast majority of American voters once their actual positions are unveiled.
