Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) published an op-ed on the far-Left Atlantic where he slammed Donald Trump and offered support for President Joe Biden.
On Wednesday, Romney, a prominent RINO and Trump-hater said a Donald Trump comeback “would feed the sickness” of America and make the country’s “denial, deceit, and distrust” “incurable.”
“President Joe Biden is a genuinely good man, but he has yet been unable to break through our national malady of denial, deceit, and distrust. A return of Donald Trump would feed the sickness, probably rendering it incurable,” Romney claimed.

Romney took a shot at Trump’s calls for election reform following the 2020 election, labeling it “a classic example of denial.”
“I have witnessed time and again—in myself and in others—a powerful impulse to believe what we hope to be the case. A classic example of denial comes from Donald Trump: ‘I won in a landslide,'” the failed 2012 presidential nominee said.
“Perhaps this is a branch of the same delusion that leads people to feed money into slot machines: Because I really want to win, I believe that I will win,” Romney added.
Despite supporting the Jan. 6 Committee and Trump impeachment, the Utah Senator attacked Congress members who don’t have a “backbone.”
“Congress is particularly disappointing. Our elected officials put a finger in the wind more frequently than they show backbone against it. Too often, Washington demonstrates the maxim that for evil to thrive only requires good men to do nothing,”
Trump supporters across social media lashed out at Romney over his Trump hit-piece. “The fact that Liz Cheney and Mitt Romney hate Donald Trump so much, is a real compliment to Donald Trump and makes him even more impressive. Those two Swamp creeps are always the best reverse barometer to use,” podcaster Mark Simone tweeted.
Congressional Candidate Loren Culp (R-WA) slammed Romney and the Republican “establishment” for pushing back on Trump. “Mitt Romney, Liz Cheney, and RINO hacks like @RepNewhouse are doing everything they can to prevent Trump from running in 2024. Sorry, but that ship has sailed. Trump is the leader of the party now. Republicans voters are done with the establishment,” Culp posted to Twitter.
