The Indian American Impact Fund, a PAC steeped in identity politics that endorses Indian and South Asian candidates in American elections is campaigning on behalf of “Kamala Devi Harris”, as the presumptive Democrat presidential nominee, who’s half Indian, runs for president as a black woman.
The group, which aims to increase “Indian and South Asian American representation” in American politics, was among the earliest endorsers of Kamala Harris for President, vowing on July 21st, the very day Joe Biden announced that he was dropping out and that Harris was taking his place, to “launch the largest ever investment to propel the first Indian American to the presidency and boost South Asian turnout.”
In the days since their endorsement, the Indian American Impact Fund has launched a pro-Harris website called “DesiPresident.com – with the term “Desi” describing the people of the Indian subcontinent – calling the website a “one-stop-hub for the South Asian American electorate to support Kamala Harris.”
Harris’s ethnic background has come back into focus in recent weeks, as she’s presented herself as an African American woman, despite her lack of African American DNA, as well as her familial ties to the upper echelons of Indian society and its brutal caste system.
As her father has explained in his extensive writings on the family’s history, the Harris family descends from mixed-race Jamaican stock and has included ultra-wealthy slave owners. In 2019, he pushed back on his daughter’s racial pandering to black voters, accusing her of disgracing her family in pursuit of identity politics.

On her mother’s side, Kamala Harris is the scion of a high-caste Indian family, with powerful ties to that nation’s government that continue to this day.
As National File recently reported:
Kamala Harris’ uncle Gopalan Balachandran is listed by the Journal of Defense Management as “a Consulting Fellow at the IDSA,” though the press has recently referred to him as a “former” consultant for the IDSA. The IDSA stands for “Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses” (IDSA), which is a think tank in New Delhi that is funded by the Indian Ministry of Defence.

During an on-stage interview at the Chicago, Illinois conference of the National Association of Black Journalists, 45th President and 2024 GOP nominee Donald Trump joined the massive chorus of people, across racial and political lines who’ve pushed back against Kamala Harris’s identity politicking – much to the crowd’s delight, and the dismay of the corporate journalist conducting the interview.
“I’ve known her a long time indirectly. Not directly very much…” said Trump.
“She was always of Indian heritage. And she was only promoting Indian heritage. I didn’t know she was black until a number of years ago when she happened to turn black. And now she wants to be known as black.”
“… Is she Indian, or is she black?” Trump asked.
