Virginia State Senator Amanda Chase is sounding the alarm just ahead of Lobby Day, taking to social media to warn patriots of how the Northam Administration will use an active state of emergency declaration, existing laws, and manufactured crisis to crush the gun rights movement in Virginia.
“I want you to be aware of how we are being set up,” wrote Chase in a Friday morning Facebook post.
“Does the Patriot Act ring a bell? Does the National Defense Authorization Act ring a bell?” asked Chase, reminding readers of longtime concerns surrounding the laws – concerns which now appear to be coming to fruition.
Warning readers of the nefarious plans of big government, Chase walked through how bills sold to the American people as strengtheners of national defense are actually being used to strip away civil liberties and constitutional rights.
Chase specifically warned veterans, III%ers, and members of patriot groups, saying “the groundwork has been laid to brand you as a domestic terrorist.’”
“They have gone out of their way since the Obama years to ensure they had us labeled [as domestic terrorists], but it didn’t start with Obama. It started with the Patriot Act under the Bush Administration.”
Additionally, Chase warned of the prospect of “plants” being used to stir up trouble during lobby day demonstrations – trouble that would serve as a trigger for gun control and confiscation bills to be rapidly signed into law, and for 2nd Amendment activists to be held as political prisoners.
“If anyone steps out of line, all it takes is one person, it may even be a government plant…if that plant does anything to disrupt the rally, you could/will be arrested as a domestic terrorist,” Chase wrote.
“The Governor, using the media has already set the stage for this to happen. He has already laid the groundwork to make the entire movement look like insurrection.”
Concerns of plants and agitators being used by the Northam Administration and other agencies, including non-government organizations like the Southern Poverty Law Center, who Chase warns of by name in her Facebook post, have been widespread.
Patrick Howley reported on it in-depth in a recent National File piece regarding Democrat plans to turn Lobby Day 2020 into Charlottesville 2.0:
National File received this stunning tip Saturday, days after receiving a similar tip regarding planned leftist infiltration: “I’m in Richmond and have just received information from a very reliable source concerning Monday’s rally against the legislature’s gun grabs. Antifa have rented seven buses to bring in their thugs to cause trouble. The report says they will be wearing MAGA hats and wearing NRA garb. They will pretend to be pro gun people. Meanwhile others posing as democrats holding anti gun signs will stand on the side. The Antifa thugs, pretending to be pro gun, will attack the sign holders. Making it look like the pro gun people have started violence. This is the plan. If you are attending the rally be aware. Be very careful”…
Former U.S. Senate candidate and county commissioner Corey Stewart weighed in on the leftist tactics.
“The word ‘tyrant’ comes to mind when thinking of Governor Northam’s declaring a state of emergency, banning law-abiding Virginians from possessing firearms, and trying to intimidate them from standing up for their rights in Richmond. Unfortunately, this echoes the actions of Governor McAuliffe and the City of Charlottesville in 2017, which the Heaphy Report determined were partly to blame for the violence there,” Corey Stewart told National File.
“We were told not once, but several times by the current President, ‘It’s not me they are after, it’s you, the American people,’” Chase wrote toward the end of her post.
“Their actions over the last three years have shown you he was right, they are coming after us full speed ahead and they aren’t even trying to hide it anymore.”
