William Binney voiced his frustration over the legal case against President Donald J. Trump associate, Roger Stone, for his involvement in 2016 Presidential election during a call with National File on Thursday.
“I heard that in the case against Roger Stone the prosecution is still advocating that there was an illegal hack and I have proved there could not possibly have been a foreign hack. I proved in affidavits that I wrote for Roger already, based on all my experience and even experiments with download times, that there could not have been a foreign hack.” Binney said.
Binney and the other former officials argue that the DNC data was leaked not hacked by a person with physical access to the DNC’s computer system.
“Forensic times prove that the data was downloaded onto storage devices. I can easily prove it. Even when Gruccifer 2.0 said that he had hacked from a foreign country, I can prove that is not true. The download speed was too fast for it to be foreign, I proved that with extensive experiments. I had hackers all over Europe download data and compared that information to prove what I already know. The court has that information,” Binney said.
A 36-year NSA veteran and military veteran, Binney resigned from the NSA in protest over a program he had developed, called “Thin Thread” and became a whistleblower over the agency spying. Binney is a vocal supporter of American Liberty.
“I want to know why these people in the NSA want to spend their time spying on people,” Binney said.
Binney is well known as the top expert in his field on technology and has been recognized as such in numerous documentaries on Frontline, a Good American, and other platforms and with technical experts around the world.
“A brilliant Code Breaker,” as technical experts call him, Binney makes himself easily available to media, press and investigators.
President Donald J. Trump even pointed to Binney as an expert, but he has yet to be called to testify about his expertise, instead being called a conspiracy nut, by the media and intelligence community.
The case against Stone hinges upon the idea that Gruccifer 2.0 is a Russian hacker and he colluded with Stone.
“In documents submitted to the U.S. district court, the special counsel’s office detailed some of the evidence against Roger Stone, acknowledging for the first time they possess direct communications between Stone and Russian operatives known collectively as Guccifer 2.0, as well as WikiLeaks,” wrote a Democrat-leaning publication for DNC talking points called, Think Progress.
Stone’s trial started this week.
Believing that the left has finally gotten their hooks into Trump, The New York Times wrote this week, “Stone Trial Links Trump More Closely to 2016 Effort to Obtain Stolen Emails Newly revealed calls between President Trump and Roger Stone dovetailed with key developments in the theft of Democratic emails, prosecutors said.”
