In a statement published on Tuesday, Colonel Conrad Reynolds (RET.), 62, a 29-year veteran of the U.S. Army and former intelligence officer, revealed his disdain for the endorsement given by Marjorie Taylor-Greene (MTG) to Kevin McCarthy (R-CA-23) of his run as the possible next U.S. Speaker of the House.
“[Marjorie Taylor-Greene, I am] very disappointed that you’re shilling for McCarthy. He’s deep in the swamp. Deep state deep,” Conrad Reynolds said.

The tweet by Reynolds had been in response to a post which named some Pro-McCarthy voices, with names such as MTG (R-GA-14), Mike Kelly (R-PA-16), French Hill (R-AR-02), Bill Johnson (R-OH-06), August Pfluger (R-TX-11), and Bruce Westerman (R-AR-04) on the list.
In an exclusive statement made to The National File, Col. Reynolds (RET.) discussed the possibility of Andy Biggs (R-AZ-05) being elected as Speaker of the House.
“I support Andy Biggs because he’s a Freedom Caucus fighter. We need leaders who aren’t swampers and who stick to conservative principles – such as fiscal responsibility and border protection,” Reynolds told The National File.Â
Reynolds is the founder of the Arkansas Military Veterans Hall of Fame and is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Arkansas Voter Integrity Initiative (AVII), a non-profit, non-partisan group which seeks to establish a “fair and transparent” voting system.
“We need people of action, not just words. McCarthy has had his chance to fix the border, balance the budget, repeal Obamacare and to fight against wokism, and he failed,” Reynolds said. “It’s time for a new face.”
Reynolds is currently working on the complete removal of computers out of the Arkansas electoral process “due to fraud potential.”
“[McCarthy is] anti-America First. He’s the epitome of what’s wrong with Washington. They talk a lot and do nothing. We need more doers and fewer talkers,” Reynolds added.
Reynolds ran in the 2022 Arkansas Republican Party in the state’s 2nd Congressional District against French Hill, who Reynolds describes as a RINO.
Other people who have been lambasted for their support of McCarthy as the next Speaker include conservative radio talk show host Mark Levin, congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH-04), and Sean Hannity.
The U.S. Constitution does not require that the Speaker of the House be a current member of Congress, however, no non-members have ever been elected.
The election for the next Speaker of the House will take place on January 3rd, 2022.
