National File reporter Charles Downs captured a video of Texas Congressman Chip Roy attending a Ron DeSantis fundraiser hosted by a child mutilation lobbyist in D.C. Roy refused to answer any of Downs’ questions when the Texas Congressman was asked why he was attending the fundraiser. Roy is Policy Chair of the House Freedom Caucus.
Downs asked Rep. Chip Roy, “Why are you going to a fundraiser hosted by a child mutilation lobbyist who supports Ron DeSanits?”
Roy refused to answer Downs’ question. Downs then gave the Texas Congressman another chance to respond, saying, “Not Freedom Caucus-like Congressman. Can you at least answer a question? GOP voters are curious. I know you want to answer.”
Roy again refused to give an answer to any questions.

Chip Roy writes policy for the House Freedom Caucus. Roy has told voters he is against child mutilation, even writing a letter to the Biden DOJ about it. However, Roy’s attendance at a fundraiser hosted by a child mutilation lobbyist shows the Congressman is just as much of a hypocrite as Ron DeSantis.
Following the release of Downs’ video, GOP voters reacted with anger at the fact that Roy, like DeSantis, says one thing and does another. At one point Friday night, “Chip Roy” was one of the top trending topics on Twitter.

Roy is the Policy Chair of the House Freedom Caucus. The House Freedom Caucus consists of patriotic members of Congress like Matt Gaetz, Lauren Boebert, and Dan Bishop.
Roy’s failure to answer for his actions of attending a fundraiser hosted by a child mutilation lobbyist in support of a GOP Presidential candidate that less than 20 percent of GOP voters want should be grounds for the House Freedom Caucus to remove Roy as Policy Chair.
GOP voters are tired of hypocrites in GOP leadership.
