Susanna Gibson, a Democrat candidate for the Virginia House of Delegates who’s known in the cam girl world as “HotWifeExperience”, made her sex videos public forever when she signed up for Chaturbate, a web platform used to live stream homemade pornography in exchange for tokens that are then converted into money. Gibson told viewers of her Chaturbate streams that she was “raising money for a good cause”, though it’s unclear if that cause was her own political campaign.
Democrat House of Delegates candidate Susanna Gibson, a married mother of two, engaged in numerous sex acts on camera for the viewing pleasure of her more than 5,000 Chaturbate subscribers and offered to perform more extreme acts in exchange for higher payments.
Gibson’s husband also took part in the livestreams and admitted that sometimes she “makes” him allow her to have sex with other men.
“Y’all can watch me pee if you tip me and [give me] some tokens,” Susanna Gibson told Chaturbate viewers in one livestream, adding that she was “raising money for a good cause.”
It’s unclear if that “good cause” is Gibson’s own 57th District political campaign, but her husband reportedly made a campaign donation of $5,000 in the same time frame during which the videos were released.
Despite the public nature of the Chaturbate platform and the platform’s own terms of service that say that Gibson’s homemade videos broadcast on the website will be public forever, the Democrat is claiming that revelations of her pornographic pastime have made her the victim of a “sex crime,” alleging that her public videos should be covered by revenge porn laws, which are generally used to bar ex-lovers from releasing compromising photographs and footage of one another.
“My political opponents and their Republican allies have proven they’re willing to commit a sex crime to attack me and my family because there’s no line they won’t cross to silence women when they speak up,” Gibson, who says she’s running for office to keep abortion legal, was quoted as saying by The Washington Post.
Though Gibson’s been vocally making accusations in the press, she’s been silent on social media and has shut down replies to her posts on X (Twitter).
Her lawyer, Daniel P. Watkins, claims that they are “working closely with state and federal law enforcement” but, much like Chaturbate’s terms of service, an adult entertainment attorney interviewed by The Washington Post has made it very clear that the videos are public and no crime has taken place on the part of exposing Gibson’s channel.
“There is absolutely no law that they are violating – none,” says Corey D. Silverstein, who The Washington Post describes as a “prominent adult entertainment industry lawyer”.
“In this case, you have two adults who are engaging in consensual sex, and they’ve decided they want to broadcast that, and they’re doing so in exchange for tipping,” Silverstein added.
“There’s absolutely nothing illegal about it.”
