The US military has started to withdraw troops from the Kabul airport in Afghanistan as an unknown number of Americans remain stranded in Taliban territory. Meanwhile, Republican officials are arguing that the troops should remain until every American citizen is rescued from the region. The US Embassy has reportedly issued the last alert for US citizens to leave the country or “they’re on their own,” but recalled the alert 30 minutes later.

Joe Biden was set to speak to the American people about his botched Afghanistan withdrawal and the ensuing disaster that followed. However, Biden has not appeared and it is expected that he will address America in the next hour, according to Fox News.
President Donald Trump recently released a statement slamming Biden for the sloppy Afghanistan withdrawal, noting that new reports suggest only 4,000 of the 37,000 people evacuated from Afghanistan are American citizens, with the rest being likely refugees who will now be settled throughout the West, as National File previously reported.
“Biden surrendered Afghanistan to terrorists and left thousands of Americans for dead by pulling out the Military before our citizens. Now we are learning that out of the 26,000 people who have been evacuated, only 4,000 are Americans,” wrote President Trump.
President Trump has repeatedly reminded Americans that his plan would have seen American citizens evacuated from the country first, then American military equipment and bases removed or destroyed second, and finally, a full military withdrawal when no Americans or American assets were left in the country. Biden, however, removed the military first, is now attempting to evacuate the citizens, and is seemingly leaving the billions of dollars military equipment and installations for the Taliban to use as they see fit.
