Georgia State Senator-elect Colton Moore is issuing a call to his state’s GOP delegation to Congress, urging them to vote against establishment leader Kevin McCarthy for Speaker of the House. Opposition to McCarthy’s speakership campaign has continued to swell following the “pink trickle” midterms, and conservatives say he doesn’t have the 218 votes he needs to secure the gavel.
“The next Speaker of the House needs to be prepared to take on the rogue Biden regime headfirst with a plan to secure our southern border, combat inflation, and stop the violence in our streets,” says Senator-elect Moore, a rising star conservative who was first elected to Georgia’s State House of Representatives in 2018, at age 24.
“We need a leader we can trust who will openly commit to ending two Nancy Pelosi-era House rules,” Moore went on, before explaining how Kevin McCarthy and his supporters have embraced the dictatorial House rules set by Nancy Pelosi.
“First, the next Speaker needs to bring back the motion to vacate the Speaker. Pelosi got rid of this century-old rule because she knew her leadership would be challenged by those who are paying attention. Bringing back the motion will restore power back to the people’s representatives and give them the power to call into question and illegitimate Speaker.”
“Second, we must restore order in the House by returning to regular order. Pelosi ran the chamber like a dictator, and the Speaker must be prepared to restore power back to the people’s representatives,” Moore said.
“If Kevin McCarthy had focused the time, energy, and spending against the Democrats during the midterm elections that he did against true conservative leaders like Joe Kent and Anthony Sabatini during their respective primaries, we would have an overwhelming majority in the House and wouldn’t be concerned with McCarthy’s ability as a leader.”
“Any candidate for Speaker who refuses to accept these terms should be 100% disqualified for the position, and that is why I am urging House Representatives Earl Carter, Drew Ferguson, Rich McCormick, Austin Scott, Andrew Clyde, Mike Collins, Barry Loudermilk, Rick Allen, and Marjorie Taylor Greene to vote against Kevin McCarthy for Speaker of the House.”

State Senator-elect Colton Moore’s call for Georgia’s Republican Congressmen to oppose Kevin McCarthy for Speaker comes as opposition to the longtime establishment leader’s gavel campaign continues to grow.
Throughout the primaries, McCarthy used corrupt FTX crypto cash, given to him by left-wing oligarchs, to attack America First campaigns in a naked effort to protect his establishment allies and his own ambitions. In the process, he gave up numerous seats to Democrats, leaving Republicans with a razor-thin House majority and a “pink trickle” that looked nothing like the “red wave” he spent two years promising.
Among Georgia’s Republicans, Marjorie Taylor Greene, who claims to be an America First outsider, has become one of McCarthy’s biggest champions, reportedly exchanging her vote for committee assignments.
