Chief Mark Rowley of Greater London’s Metropolitan Police Service threatened to charge and jail American citizens who post online from their own country in support of UK demonstrations against mass third-world migration and the years of violent crime that have come along with it.
Police in the UK have arrested and charged hundreds of native-born citizens thus far with a litany of speech-related crimes, with some of them being tried, convicted, and sentenced to years in prison, in just a matter of days. While promising more arrests, Rowley set his sights on American citizens and others who’ve shown support for the protest movement, which comes in direct response to the triple murder of three children by an African living on British soil.
“We will throw the full force of the law at people,” Rowley told reporters at a press conference. “And whether you’re in this country committing crimes on the streets, or committing crimes from further afield online, we will come after you.”
When asked by a reporter how far his speech policing will go, with the questioner also mentioning that American citizens, including “the likes of Elon Musk are getting involved” in supporting demonstrators from afar, Chief Rowley threatened them with arrest on terrorism charges.
“Being a keyboard warrior does not make you safe from the law,” Rowley said.
“You can be guilty of offenses of incitement and stirring up racial hatred. There are numerous terrorist offenses regarding, uh, uh, uh, the publishing of material,” he went on.
“All of those offenses are in play if people are promoting hatred and violence on the streets and we will come after those individuals just as we will physically confront it on the streets.”

Rowley’s threat to Americans, who haven’t lived under British rule since 1776 and have a constitutional right to say whatever they want, comes as the Labour Party administration of newly-installed UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer vows to not just crack down on the speech of British citizens but to build a “standing army” of speech police to combat their own people.
“We will have a standing army of specialist officers, public duty officers so that we’ll have enough officers to deal with this where we need them,” Starmer told reporters earlier this week.
“…I’ve been absolutely clear, that the criminal law applies online, as well as offline. And I’m assured that that’s the approach that’s being taken,” he added.
