Senate Republican leaders in Washington are making it clear that President Donald Trump is not actually at risk of getting removed from office simply because Nancy Pelosi’s House Democrats impeached Trump for allegedly pressuring Ukraine to investigate Joe Biden’s corruption.
Senate GOP exasperation at Democrats further underscores the extent to which the American public views the impeachment as a politically motivated hoax that affects nothing.
Pelosi is threatening to withhold the articles of impeachment from the Senate until Republicans make concessions in the way the trial will be conducted, but her threat doesn’t actually affect anything.
“It’s beyond me how the speaker and Democratic leader in the Senate think withholding the articles of impeachment and not sending them over gives them leverage. Frankly, I’m not anxious to have the trial,” GOP Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell stated to the press Thursday.
Democrat Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is outraged that McConnell is not taking the hoax impeachment seriously, with McConnell letting it be known that he’s just going to acquit the president and make sure Trump’s lawyers are in the loop throughout whatever process plays out.
Sen. Chuck Schumer: "Leader McConnell claimed the impeachment was motivated by partisan rage. This from the man who said proudly, I am not impartial. I have no intention to be impartial at all in the trial of President Trump. What hypocrisy." pic.twitter.com/9McXh83wbK

Republicans are making it clear that Trump is just fine.
What is driving this crazy idea?
Democrats have finally realized they have a very WEAK case which NEVER should have been brought forward to begin with.

The President is not going to be removed from office – period. The House’s action is nothing more than a political sham – one that the vast majority of Oklahomans and I are sick and tired of. My full statement ⬇️ pic.twitter.com/cAFTBRcZlo
