A teacher in Las Vegas, Nevada is under fire for reportedly taping masks to the faces of multiple 4th graders faces as part of a humiliating punishment for forgetting to wear masks in school.
A substitute teacher at a school in Las Vegas, Nevada was reportedly taping masks to the faces of multiple children as punishment for forgetting to wear masks in school. One mother of a student is outraged that her 9 year old son had to experience the punishment after he mistakenly took his mask off in class, according to a report by the Blaze.
The mother, who wished not to be identified, spoke at length about the alleged incident in an interview with KVVU-TV over the weekend. She has since filed a police report and is calling for the teacher’s resignation.
“I was furious, furious. I was scared for my son on what kind of long-term effect it is going to have on him socially, the fact that the entire class was laughing,” the mother said, stressing that her son briefly took his mask off by mistake. “He went to get a sip of water, forgot to put the mask on.”
After the 9-year old boy took his mask off, the teacher dragged him in front of the entire classroom and applied layers of tape to his face. “The teacher did not tell him to put it back on or send him to the office, she instead pulled him up in front of the classroom in front of all of the students and she then taped the mask across the top of his face,” the mother continued, adding that the teacher applied a second layer of tape from his nose to his forehead.
The child was sent to the office to retrieve homework when a concerned school administrator noticed the taped on his face, notifying the principal of the abuse. When the principal arrived back to the classroom, she encountered another student with tape on their face. According to the mother of the 9-year old boy, at least 5 other students had experienced the face mask taping punishment.
“The district is aware of the isolated incident and is dealing with the employee through the proper channels. The principal proactively notified the family of the investigation,” the Clark County School District said in a statement to KVVU.
The mother is now considering taking her student out of the school and sending him to a different public school, or perhaps a charter school in the future.
One Christian pastor who spoke out against the forced masking of children before the Red Wing School Board in Minnesota, presumably in an attempt to protect children from this sort of abuse, had the police called on him during a school board meeting. National File spoke to Pastor Mike Montgomery about the incident in an exclusive interview. Readers can learn the full story here.
Parents across the country are standing up to tyrannical COVID-19 mask mandates in children’s schools. In one instance, a passionate mother and registered nurse named Melissa decried her local school board in Lee County Florida for attempting to enforce a child mask mandate. In a video that went viral online, Melissa called the school board, as well as school boards across America, “demonic entities.”
“You are all demonic entities. All of us christians are sticking together to take you all out. These doctors that were sneering at us like we’re scumbags, they need to go back to f*cking med school.” – Registered nurse in Florida pic.twitter.com/OVvZqJBqW2
