Chaos erupted last week in the Ohio House of Representatives as Democrat lawmakers beat furiously on their desks with their fists and howled in anguish as a female Republican representative proposed an amendment to protect woman’s and girls’ sports.
“The Save Women’s Sports Act is a fairness issue for women to be able to achieve their dreams in athletics in our state, and is integral to preserving women’s rights and the integrity of women’s and girls’ sports,” Rep. Jenna Powell stated while introducing her motion to pass the amendment. “Across our country, female athletes are currently losing scholarships, opportunities, scholarships, education, and training opportunities. This amendment will require schools that are part of the OHSA to designate separate teams for participants of their biological sex.”

At this point, strange and raucous noises began emanating from the direction of Ohio House Democrats. Frantic beating on wooden desks could be hard, as well as morbid screams and howls apparently intended to dissuade Powell from continuing to read her prepared remarks.
Video footage captured Democrat Mike Skindell repeatedly shouting, “Boo, boo, boo, boo” but as his screams went unheard, he began furiously striking both palms against his desk and screaming “boo’ more frantically, the boos blending together until they resembled some sort of predatory forest creature baying at a full moon.
Despite the efforts of Democrats to thwart the bill by enacting violence on their personal furniture, Powell’s amendment passed the house and headed to the state Senate.
