In a stunning move, even for the increasingly politicized CDC and radical Biden Administration, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Director Rochelle Walensky declared racism a “public heath threat.”
In a media statement released today, Walensky proclaimed that the “painful experiences and the impact of COVID-19 are felt, most severely, in communities of color.” However, Walensky then went on to say that “disparities seen over the past year were not a result of COVID-19,” and, “Instead, the pandemic illuminated inequities that have existed for generations and revealed for all of America a known, but often unaddressed, epidemic impacting public health: racism.”
She went on to define racism as both “discrimination against one group based on the color of their skin or their race or ethnicity,” and “the structural barriers that impact racial and ethnic groups differently to influence where a person lives, where they work, where their children play, and where they worship and gather in community.”
Walensky also announced that the CDC is taking several measure to combat the “epidemic,” including investing more resources into minority communities, requiring all departments to work to foster greater diversity, and creating a new website, “Racism and Health,” to “serve as a catalyst for public and scientific discourse around racism and health.”
Reactions to this move have not been all positive. Fox News contributor and attorney Leo Terrell accused her of “playing pure politics, she’s lying.”
“She has a conclusion without any supporting facts. What’s your qualifications to say that?” Terrell continued. “She ignores ten thousand other reasons and accepts a conclusion without facts.”
Pastor and talk radio host Jesse Lee Peterson flatly retorted “When they say ‘racism’ they mean White people” in a tweet in response.

National File reached out to the CDC to ask what concrete measures they are taking to remedy this “epidemic,” specifically if they will be prioritizing the heath of minorities over whites. No response was received at the time of publication.
