71-year-old Bruce Springsteen was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and consuming alcohol in a closed area shortly before he appeared in a tone deaf Jeep commercial and condescendingly urged rural conservative Christians to “meet in the middle” with liberal activists who cheered on a year of violent race riots and crippling lockdowns.
The news of Springsteen’s arrest was originally broken this week by TMZ, which reported Springsteen “was arrested on November 14 at Gateway National Recreation Area in Sandy Hook, NJ” and cited for “DWI, reckless driving and consuming alcohol in a closed area.”
A spokesperson for the National Park Service later confirmed the news.
Springsteen went on to appear in a Super Bowl commercial for Jeep in which he drove a truck around snowy fields, talked about chapels in Kansas, and declared that it was time for Americans to meet in the middle following the inauguration of Joe Biden.
The Jeep commercial was pulled from the company’s official YouTube page following the news of Springsteen’s arrest, and Jeep has insisted that they were not aware of Springsteen criminal driving activities at the time of the commercial.
“It would be inappropriate for us to comment on the details of a matter we have only read about and we cannot substantiate. But it’s also right that we pause our Big Game commercial until the actual facts can be established,” a Jeep spokesperson said. “Its message of community and unity is as relevant as ever. As is the message that drinking and driving can never be condoned.”

Springsteen’s Jeep commercial was widely panned by audiences, who have scorned the efforts of left-wing figureheads and major corporations to peddle Biden administration talking points such as “unity,” healing,” and “coming together” following four years of hatred, deplatforming, and violence directed at White conservative Christians.
