A Wendy’s employee in Arizona is facing second-degree murder charges after sucker punching an elderly customer. The employee, Antoine Kendrick of Prescott Valley, walked from behind the counter before sucker punching a 67-year-old man who reportedly complained about his food, according to the Prescott Valley Police Department. The victim later succumbed to his injuries after weeks of fighting for his life in a Phoenix area hospital.
The incident took place on July 26 in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Surveillance video shows Kendrick pacing back and forth in the customer area before delivering a massive punch to the back of the elderly man’s head, who had his back turned to the Wendy’s employee. Kendrick could be seen standing over the victim before walking back behind the counter.
The man hit his head on the way down and immediately lost consciousness. Officers and Central Arizona Fire & Medical Authority soon responded to the scene and the customer was airlifted to a local hospital.

The victim, who has not been identified, remained in critical condition until his death on August 15, according to a report from ABC 15. Kendrick, 35, was initially booked on charges of aggravated assault, but he is now facing second-degree murder charges.
