Russian media has reported that Wagner PMC chief Yevgeny Prigozhin is dead, having been a passenger aboard a crashed jet. Prigozhin, who was previously called a war criminal by the NATO press, was hailed as a hero in the West after he led his private military company in an unsuccessful “coup” attempt that failed to reach the Russian capital of Moscow.
Wagner PMC founder and leader Yevgeny Prigozhin is being reported as dead after his jet went down over Western Russia’s Tver Region, with 9 others on board, including the pilots. There are no survivors.
In the aftermath of his unsuccessful anti-Putin “coup” attempt, Prigozhin had been seldom heard from and was reported to be in exile or keeping an extremely low profile in numerous locations.
While the origins of the coup have never been made completely clear, it’s been widely speculated that Prigozhin and factions of Wagner PMC were bribed by or received aid from Western governments and intelligence agencies to go through with the failed coup attempt.
Amazingly, as the uprising played out, Western talking heads on both sides of the political aisle took to corporate media programs to advise Wagner forces to seize Russian nuclear weapons, in an apparent effort to march the world to the brink of nuclear disaster.
According to several corporate media reports released in the aftermath of the Wagner coup attempt, it was claimed that high-level US intelligence officials had foreknowledge of Prigozhin’s plans, making it appear all the more likely that NATO and possibly Ukraine were involved in it.

In the immediate aftermath of Prigozhin’s plane crash death, it’s believed by many that the Wagner chief was killed for treason, and his plane shot out of the sky.
In video footage posted to X (Twitter) by Stew Peters purporting to show Prigozhin’s plane going down, it appears that the plane was deliberately shot down and that the video shows a blasted-out shell of a plane falling to the ground.
“Purported video of Wagner boss Yevgeny Prigozhin’s jet being shot down en route from Moscow to St. Petersburg,” Peters wrote.
“Is this how a serious country should treat traitors?”
