Newly-elected Speaker of the House, Rep. Mike Johnson (R-LA) says that the “reality” of American life is that being white is “easier” than being black and that the country needs to undergo a “systemic change” to right its racial wrongs.
Johnson parroted far-left race hustlers during an interview with PBS in June of 2020, as BLM riots tore through the United States, leaving dead Americans and burnt-out cities in their wake.
During the interview, without actually using the term “white privilege”, Johnson took up the theme of white privilege talking points to describe how he believes being white is “easier” than being black.
“I’ve thought often through all these ordeals over the last couple of weeks about the differences in the experiences of my two 14-year-old sons; Michael being a black American and Jack being white, caucasian,” Johnson told PBS’s Amanpour & Company.
“They have different challenges. My son Jack has an easier path, he just does,” Johnson went on.
“The interesting thing about both these kids, Michael and Jack, is that they’re both handsome, articulate, really talented kids. Gifted by God to do lots of things,” said Johnson. “But the reality is, and no one can tell me otherwise, my son Michael had a harder time than my son Jack is going to have, simply because of the color of his skin. And that’s a reality. It’s an uncomfortable, painful one to acknowledge but people have to recognize that’s a fact.”

Johnson was elected to be the 56th Speaker of the House on Wednesday, after being thrust into the spotlight on Tuesday night when a closed-door GOP conference meeting led to his speakership nomination. All GOP legislators, minus McCarthy henchman Derrick Van Orden, who didn’t bother showing up, supported Johnson’s candidacy.
As National File reported ahead of the speakership vote, while Johnson boasts a very conservative voting record, his list of donors sends a completely different signal and includes PACs linked to the pharmaceutical industrial and military-industrial complex.
As Speaker of the House, Johnson’s first official act was to pass a resolution declaring the House’s support for Israel.
However, in an encouraging bit of news for conservatives, as National File exclusively reported via X, a Republican Congressman says that Kevin McCarthy and K Street lobbyists are “throwing a fit” over Johnson’s election.
Before Johnson’s speakership nomination, the Congressman says, McCarthy was planning to launch of new campaign to win back the speaker’s gavel.
