Biden Attorney General Merrick Garland told a black church in Alabama that the Department of Justice is “fighting” to force states to adopt mail-in voting and ballot drop boxes for the 2024 election, as well as to end voter ID laws. Garland’s remarks come as the Biden Regime is turning the federal government against America’s electoral system while using the power and pocketbooks of government agencies to shake down states and register as many Democrat voters as possible before November.
Merrick Garland told the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Selma, Alabama that the Department of Justice is “fighting” to take down all safeguards enacted by the states to secure their elections, four years after unprecedented election fraud, brought on by illegal changes to election law, led to Joe Biden’s installation as President.
In a video clip of Garland’s speech, he’s surrounded by Tabernacle congregants in mock African clothing as he claims that “the right to vote is still under attack and that is why the Justice Department is fighting back.”
“That is why one of the first things I did when I came into office was to double the size of the voting section of the [DOJ’s] civil rights division,” Garland went on.
“That is why we are challenging efforts by states and jurisdictions to implement discriminatory, burdensome, and unnecessary restrictions on access to the ballot, including those related to mail-in voting, the use of drop boxes, and voter ID requirements,” he said, before claiming that securing elections is racist and that the feds will hold those who move to secure their elections “accountable.”
“That is why we are working to block the adoption of discriminatory redistricting plans that dilute the vote of black voters and other voters of color,” Garland said.

Garland’s remarks, which came on the 59th anniversary of “Bloody Sunday,” a historical event regularly pimped and manipulated by Democrats, and as Joe Biden turns the entire federal government into a massive, taxpayer-funded Democrat voter registration machine.

The voter registration drive stems from a March 2021 executive order signed by Joe Biden on “Promoting Access to Voting” that referred to supposed “obstacles” faced by minority voters, including a “lack of election information,” implying that the Biden Regime will be disseminating federally-approved election and campaign information to those they register.
The order also described “barriers to access at polling places,” which likely refers mostly to voter ID laws adopted to keep illegal aliens from voting and to stem the voter fraud seen all over the country in 2020, and before, but Biden in his order claims that the voter ID laws are racist, as are the “long lines” he claims minorities are faced with at polling places.
What’s more, is that the order called for election materials to be presented in foreign languages, not just at polling places and on the Vote.Gov site, but in federal prisons, where the U.S. Marshals have been tasked with making sure inmates have access to “educational materials related to voter registration and voting.”
Unsurprisingly, Biden also ordered the U.S. Marshals to “facilitate voting by mail” from federal prisons.
