Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) predicted today that he will be removed as Speaker of the House. McCarthy’s prediction came when speaking to members of the media and after America First Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz filed a Motion to Vacate the Chair against him, bringing McCarthy’s speakership up for a vote before the full House of Representatives.
Voting is expected to begin early this afternoon in Washington, D.C., where GOP Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy is facing a Motion to Vacate, which could bring his speakership to a sudden end after he failed to live up to the promises he made to conservative members of his own party in order to win the speakership in the first place.
Several GOP legislators have already vowed to vote against McCarthy’s speakership and it appears that he will need significant Democrat support to hold onto the gavel, because of the GOP’s razor-thin majority in the House of Representatives.
This is a direct result of Kevin McCarthy turning 2022’s predicted red wave into more of a pink trickle, by torpedoing America First campaigns to protect members of the uni-party establishment and his own speakership ambitions.

If McCarthy is to fail to garner any Democrat support for retaining his speakership, and each House Democrat votes against him, just 5 GOP votes will be needed to take him down and begin the process of electing a new Speaker of the House.
While speaking with the media in what may be the final hours of his failed speakership, Kevin McCarthy predicted his own removal as Speaker of the House.
When asked if he believes he’ll be removed as speaker, McCarthy looked defeatedly at a reporter and replied “Probably so.”
