A former Malaysian Prime Minister, who is saber-rattling a return run to office, has lashed out at French President Emmanuel Macron calling his response to an Islamofascist terror attack in Nice, which left three dead, “uncivilized.”
A knife-wielding attacker, who screamed “Allahu Akbar” throughout his attack and after, beheaded a woman and killed two others in a Catholic Church in Nice, France, last Thursday. The French President responded to the killings with firm resolve.

Macron reacted to the earlier beheading of a teacher in a French suburb as an “Islamic terrorist attack” later adding, “Unity and firmness are the only answers to the monstrosity of Islamist terrorism.”
The teacher, Samuel Paty, who had published images of the Prophet Muhammed – something forbidden in the religion of Islam, was attacked on his way home from the junior high school where he taught in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine. He was awarded the French Legion d’honneur, the highest decoration available by the French state, in recognition that he died defending the importance of free speech.
But Marcon’s stance was met with ire and consternation by those in the Islamist community. In particular, Marcon drew the ire of former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad.
“He (Macron) is very primitive in blaming the religion of Islam and Muslims for the killing of the insulting schoolteacher. It is not in keeping with the teachings of Islam. But irrespective of the religion professed, angry people kill. The French in the course of their history has killed millions of people. Many were Muslims,” Mahathir Mohamad said.
Mahathir Mohamad said, in a series of tweets, that Muslims “have a right” to be angry and “kill millions of French people for the massacres of the past.”
Meanwhile, a former PM of Malaysia posts this on his official @Twitter account, responding to the #NiceAttack, which took place in a Catholic Basilica.

“Muslims have a right to be angry and to kill millions of French people for the massacres of the past. But by and large the Muslims have not applied the ‘eye for an eye’ law. Muslims don’t. The French shouldn’t. Instead, the French should teach their people to respect other people’s feelings,” Mohamad said.
After a severe and continuous backlash, Mohamad chose to abandon his sanctimonious preaching, deleting his tweet.
The Thursday attacks, which coincided with the recognized birthday of the Prophet Mohammad, came at a time of growing Islamist anger at France’s defense of the free speech right to publish depictions of the Prophet.
Protesters have denounced France in street rallies in several Muslim-majority countries, as well as in the streets of Islamist communities throughout Europe.
