Biden Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre bizarrely declared herself “a historic figure” during a video interview with The Grio, a left-wing black-owned media outlet. Jean-Pierre’s declaration has led to widespread mockery online, and could be compared to a quote attributed to Karl Rove, claiming in the early 2000s that he and his fellow swampers were “history’s actors” and that mere commoners would be “left to just study what we do.”
“Many things, many things have made me incredibly proud to be at that podium during this historic moment,” Karine Jean-Pierre, often known by her initials of “KJP”, told The Grio. Again, this is a historic administration. I’m a historic figure and I certainly walk in history every day,” she said.
Though KJP didn’t elaborate on exactly what makes her a “historic figure”, the bizarre remarks parrot a regular theme in the Biden Administration, which has made a point of installing homosexuals, transgenders, women, and minorities into various positions of government, for what appears to be the sole purpose of releasing statements claiming that the administration has once again “made history.”
In the case of Karine Jean-Pierre, the Biden Administration and the corporate press have celebrated her appointment as Press Secretary, which came only after Jen Psaki left the administration, because KJP is the “first openly gay black woman” to serve in the post.
In addition to those much-celebrated demographic factors, KJP has been celebrated for being foreign-born, having been born to Haitian parents on the Caribbean island of Martinique before her family immigrated to New York.
In a post made to Twitter that included a video clip of Jean-Pierre’s interview with The Grio, Africa News Today reporter Simon Ateba, who KJP and her corporate press allies have sparred with multiple times while trying to prevent him from asking questions, listed a few real “historic figures” of the United States, along with a description of their accomplishments.
Among the Americans listed by Ateba were George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and Martin Luther King Jr.
“Now, we have to add KJP,” Ateba wrote, asking users for their reactions.
