Boxing superstar Tyson Fury immediately praised God after a massive KO win over Dillian Whyte at Wembley. Fury, 33, retained his belt in front of 94,000 fans thanks to a left upper cut that Whyte was unable to recover from in the sixth round.
“First of all I want to say as always, I dedicate this to my lord and savior Jesus Christ. He gave me the victory again tonight and I give him the glory,” Fury said in his post-fight interview. “In the mighty name of Jesus Christ I won this fight.”

Tyson Fury previously stepped away from boxing after drug issues began to impact his career. After winning several belts in a fight with Wladimir Klitschko, the pair’s 2016 rematch never materialized after Fury failed multiple drug tests, including one for cocaine. “The Gypsy King” later announced that he was dealing with crippling depression that was negatively impacting his career and opted to step away from the game.
While away from boxing, Fury gained weight and struggled with drinking. But in 2018, he made an improbable comeback and returned with much success.
After two quick wins, Tyson Fury squared up with Deontay Wilder — one of the most prolific power punches in the history of the sport — in an all-time classic.
Fury was in control for much of the first Wilder fight, but in round 12, he was knocked down after being caught with a Wilder overhand. Miraculously, Fury was able to rise to his feet with just one second left on the count, which ultimately led to the first fight being ruled a draw. Fury then knocked Wilder out in each of the following matchups between the two, putting a stamp on one of heavyweight boxing’s classic trilogies.
Tyson Fury has said that Saturday’s heavyweight title clash at Wembley could be his last fight. The 33-year-old said that he will take some time off while he discusses the matter with his family, though several enticing matchups are very much on the table.
This includes a fight with UFC Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou — where Fury would be a massive favorite — or a bout with longtime rival Anthony Joshua.
