Jenna Ellis, the former member of 45th President Donald Trump’s legal team who – alongside Rudy Giuliani – worked to prove the many credible allegations of widespread voter fraud after the 2020 election, has officially left the Republican Party after its chairwoman, Ronna McDaniel, denied Ellis’s claim that she and the party abandoned President Trump’s fight for election integrity and blocked Ellis on Twitter.
McDaniel’s Republican National Committee initially denied being asked to fire its Chief Counsel, anti-Trump lawyer Justin Riemer, by an irate Rudy Giuliani, after a new book revealed that Riemer sent an email to many involved in the legal fight urging them to drop President Trump’s fight for election integrity following the November election, and questioning what Giuliani and Ellis were doing. When Ellis said that the book’s series of events were accurate, that she had proof, and accused McDaniel of lying, McDaniel responded by blocking Ellis on social media.
Over the following days, McDaniel and many conservatives expressed severe dissatisfaction with the Republican Party, describing it as corrupt, self serving, and secretly opposed to President Trump and his America First agenda. Now, Ellis says she has officially left the party over her opposition to McDaniel’s leadership and the alleged corruption she has allowed.
“All of them, including Ronna McDaniel should resign now,” said Ellis on her Real America’s Voice news show. “Until they do, as of today, I am resigning from the party. I am changing my voter registration, and I am no longer a Republican. Until the party decides that it wants to be conservative again. Even if I stand alone for the truth, I will stand for the truth. A compromised, corrupted majority is not a majority worth being a part of. If we genuinely want to create a more perfect union, we have to stand up for our principles against the corrupted machine of self serving politicians in Washington.”

Ellis also appeared on Greg Kelly’s Newsmax TV show to announce her decision to leave the Republican Party. “For the RNC spokesperson to say that the story was false,” said Ellis, before noting that the author is generally untrustworthy. “This particular story was correct, this excerpt, and the RNC and Ronna McDaniel and Justin Riemer knew it, but the RNC Spokesperson still denied it as false. That’s the problem.”
“I am leaving the Republican Party until the Republican Party comes back home to conservatives. I will stand up and champion truth, conservative principles, our Declaration of Independence as America’s charter, and the U.S. Constitution, but I will not stand and abide by a party that says we have to support everything that comes under the banner of R even though it’s not conservative,” said Ellis. “For Ronna, for example, to tweet in affirmation of Pride month, for this whole infrastructure bill, for what Mitch McConnell said about President Trump in the aftermath of the second impeachment hoax, all of these things are not conserving our principles of liberty and justice for all. They’re not conserving our Constitution. I’m not going to stand by and support a party that doesn’t support my values.”

Neither McDaniel or the RNC have responded to National File’s inquiry about what happened to the Republican Party’s share of the $200 million or more it raised using President Trump’s fight for election integrity in its advertising messages.
