Senate GOP Leader Mitch McConnell froze up again on Wednesday during a press event in Northern Kentucky. This is the 2nd time in less than 2 months McConnell has had a stroke-like freeze in front of the press. Earlier this year McConnell injured his head in a fall at the old Trump Hotel in D.C. McConnell’s latest freeze-up increased the chances that he will step down as Senate GOP Leader. McConnell and the globalists have hand-picked South Dakota Senator John Thune to replace him. Thune is an ardent never-Trumper.
It was a sad sight as McConnell experienced a stroke-like attack after he was asked if he planned on running for reelection in 2026. McConnell’s aides had to rush to the podium to help the broken-down Senator walk away.
Mitch McConnell broke down again. Kentucky deserves a mentally competent America First Senator who puts the people's needs before theirs. It’s time for Mitch to retire. Also, globalist Trump hater John Thune would be a disaster leading the Senate GOP.

It’s clear McConnell’s days as GOP Senate Leader are numbered. Globalists have hand-picked South Dakota Senator John Thune to succeed McConnell. Thune is just as anti-Trump as McConnell is.
In December 2020, Thune enthusiastically told CNN that if the House votes to overturn the election, the Senate will shoot down the resolution like a dog, saying, “I think the thing they got to remember is it’s not going anywhere. I mean, in the Senate, it would go down like a shot dog.”
In March, Thune attacked Tucker Carlson’s J6 reporting. When asked by CNN about Tucker’s J6 documentary Thune said, “I think it was an attack on the Capitol … There were a lot of people in the Capitol at the time that were scared for their lives.”
Worse, Thune wants to see Trump lose in 2024, telling the Washington Post, “I hope we have other options [GOP presidential candidates], and I think we will have other options.”
Thune has also been a big supporter of unlimited aid to Ukraine. Many believe Thune will endorse Ron DeSantis when the time is right, following in the footsteps of his GOP establishment comrades.
