President Trump has demanded that either Arizona state police or the National Guard are sent out by Governor Ducey to protect the current forensic audit taking place in Maricopa County, as legal action initiated by Democrats continues against the audit.
National File reported on the efforts from Democrats in Arizona to stop the full forensic audit of the 2020 votes from Maricopa County, ironically citing spurious arguments that the integrity of the audit was compromised.  They argued that the private firm hired by Republican Senate President Karen Fann to carry out the audit, Cyber Ninjas, was not qualified to conduct the audit, and that they were ironically concerned about the integrity of the audit. They also noted that the CEO of the company, Doug Logan, supported the “Stop the Steal” efforts, insinuating that he would not perform the audit properly.
In a statement on Saturday, President Trump reiterated calls for Arizona Governor Doug Ducey to “immediately provide large-scale security for the brave American Patriots doing the Forensic Audit of the 2020 Presidential Election,” suggesting that Ducey either send out the state police or National Guard to the audit site. “Governor Ducey will be held fully responsible for the safety of those involved,” President Trump said. “The Democrats do not want to have this information revealed, and they will do anything to stop it. Governor Ducey must finally act!”

President Trump had previously slammed the lawsuit from the Arizona Democrats, saying that it was a clear “effort to stop this recount and full transparency because THEY KNOW WHAT THEY DID,” saying that they wanted to stop the uncovering of large scale voter fraud. “Don’t think that Arizona is the only State,” he added. “Much more to come!”
At the time of writing, the audit continues, after the Arizona Democrats refused to put up the $1 million bond ordered by Superior Court Judge Chris Coury, who would otherwise have halted the audit from 5PM Friday until 12PM on Monday. Coury ordered the Democrats to pay the bond in order to cover any rise in costs due to the halt, but the party chair, Raquel Terán, said that they would “not risk our supporters’s hard-earned dollars.”
The court action against the audit is ongoing. On Friday afternoon, Justice Clint Bolick of the Arizona Supreme Court responded to an Emergency Special Action filed by the State Senate to stop the halt, which had already become a moot point with the lack of payment from the Democrats. Bolick ordered an updated pleading regarding the case from the Senate on Tuesday, with responses to be given on Wednesday, and set a reply date for Thursday.
