Donald Trump ripped into GOP mega-donors in a Truth Social post on Thursday.
Former President Trump directed his negative comments toward prominent establishment Republican donors like the Koch brothers and Ken Griffin (a large DeSantis supporter).
Trump shared a Mediate article detailing comments Steve Bannon made where he discussed establishment billionaire donors attacking Trump’s 2024 campaign.
Bannon ridiculed the Republican party’s “oligarchs” for being “1,000% anti-Trump.” The right-wing podcaster went on to suggest these so-called oligarchs will only support Trump when it’s fashionable.
“They’re never going to stand up. Right? As soon as Trump’s hot they are going to back Trump as soon as Trump’s not hot, boom, gone. Right? And right now they are absolutely 1,000% anti-Trump.”
Bannon added:
Just understand that, anti-Trump, from the Kochs all the way across the board, the Singer to Ken Griffin, the whole, you know, the whole deal. The whole deal. So this is why people go, you can’t talk about tax increases until you get this thing to a surplus, until you get the Federal Reserve to stop printing money and destroying you and your financial well-being and your family, your children and your grandchildren.
Bannon got on the topic of Republican mega-donors after news broke that billionaire megadonor Charles Koch would be working against Trump’s 2024 campaign.
In 2018, Charles Koch and his brother David attacked Trump for his “protectionist” foreign policy and trade barriers.
At the time, Trump responded on Twitter. “The globalist Koch Brothers, who have become a total joke in real Republican circles, are against Strong Borders and Powerful Trade. I never sought their support because I don’t need their money or bad ideas. They love my Tax & Regulation Cuts, Judicial picks & more.”

On Thursday, Trump posted a link to Bannon’s comments and reminded his followers how the same billionaires “fought me in 2016 and lost big.”
“They’re all Globalist and Pro China Losers. Fought me in 2016 and lost big. They are all bad for the USA—America Last!” Trump posted.
