Three Texas counties are expected to officially declare a border emergency due to the surge in illegal immigration across the Southern Border.
As National File previously reported, “in the month of May, illegal immigration levels reached an all-time high, with U.S. Customs and Border Protection making 239, 416 arrests along the border.”
Elected officials from Kinney County, Goliad County, and Uvalde County said in a press release they will issue an “important announcement about forthcoming emergency declarations” on Tuesday at a press conference in Brackettville, a border town in Texas.
At the Brackettville conference, elected officials from the three countries discussed the seriousness of the Southern Border crisis.
Terrell County Judge Dale Lynn Carruthers said, “I’m here to let you know that the invasion is real. We are here to protect the sovereignty of our nation, not just the border of Texas.”
Kinney County Judge Tully Shahan slammed the Biden administration for doing “a thing” to secure the border. “We don’t want to lose America. The Biden administration won’t do a thing about it. They could stop this thing this hour. They could stop it now. They don’t have the guts, but they have a plan. And the plan is to keep bringing them in. If we keep open borders, we’re not going to have a nation,” Shahan explained.
“We don’t want to lose America.”

The mayor of Uvalde, Don Mclaughlin expressed the border crisis has hurt the city’s resources and sheriff’s department:
“We couldn’t hardly make budget before all this occurred,” Bennett said. “Now, we’re running way behind. It’s stealing our resources. This is not a situation where we’re helping these illegal migrants come across. This is a situation where many are dying along the way (and) there’s a lot of carnage left in their wake. So, we’re here today to ask the governor to do more. Clearly, it’s the responsibility of the United States government to do this – and clearly, they’ll not going to do a thing.”
Former Acting Deputy Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, Ken Cuccinelli, warned Texans “there is no ceiling on how bad [the border crisis] can get.”
