U.S. Sen. James Lankford (R-OK) declared his intention to “step in” if President Donald Trump does not allow Joe Biden, who the media claims will be elected president, to begin receiving presidential intelligence briefings in preparation of assuming the presidency.
In an interview with Tulsa talk radio station KRMG, Lankford said “There’s nothing wrong with Vice President Biden getting the briefings to be able to prepare himself.” Lankford then made his apparent threat, saying that “If that’s not occurring by Friday, I will step in as well,” and “say that this needs to occur so that regardless of the outcome of the election, whichever way that it goes, people can be ready for that actual task.”
He went on to say that the Government Services Administration “has to certify that election to start turning it around, the first day they can do that on the calendar is Friday, and when that occurs, they should actually step in,”
Lankfored stressed that he will use his power to force the GSA’s hand. “And I would tell you, I’m on the committee of oversight,” said Lankford. “I’ve already started engaging in this area.”
The GSA, however, has thus far refused to begin helping Biden’s transition team, citing the lack of certified election results. There are currently ongoing lawsuits alleging severe widespread voter fraud in every major battleground state, and whistleblowers are stepping forward with signed affidavits in Pennsylvania and Michigan.
On the GSA’s refusal, National File reported:
“An ascertainment has not yet been made. GSA and its administrator will continue to abide by, and fulfill, all requirements under the law,” a spokesman with the GSA told reporters, adding that GSA administrator, Emily Murphy, will only execute a transition of power when a “clear winner is clear based on the process laid out in the Constitution.”
“The Administrator’s ascertainment is done for the purposes of making services provided by the Presidential Transition Act available,” the spokesperson continued in a statement. “Until an ascertainment is made, the statute allows for the Biden Transition Team to continue to receive the pre-elect services from the government (e.g., limited office space, computers, background investigations for security clearances). GSA has met all statutory requirements under the PTA for this election cycle and will continue to do so.”
Since the media declared Biden the winner on Saturday, he has taken to calling himself President-elect, and has arranged a questionable home-Office of the President-elect studio to record videos.
